Pottery Lessons for Guests at Grey Cliffs Ranch

All Lodge guests are welcome to stop by the pottery studio anytime.  Everyone is welcome to visit and watch Licia work during her work hours.   Licia’s work is for sale in the studio.  Please contact Grey Cliffs Ranch at 406-285-6512 to make reservations for lessons.   All pottery payments must be made to Licia Lucas-Pfadt, not GCR.  The following are options for private lessons:

                                                                       LESSON OPTIONS

 

1. Decorating pottery.

 $50 per piece.  Choose from already made mugs, bowls or plates. Drawing, painting and other methods can be used.  Price includes instructions, materials, the glazing and firing of your piece, and shipping of your piece to your home.  (International shipping is an additional cost).  I have a pinterest board called
“decorating ideas for student”
with lots of ideas for decorating your pottery.

 Time required: 1-2 hours. 

Number of people: 1-10.

 Ages: 5 and up (small children will need the assistance of a guardian)

Hand and foot prints can be done for babies and toddlers.

 

2. Hand-building.

$100 per person.  Hand-building includes pinch pots and slab work.  Price includes instructions, materials, the glazing and firing of your work, and shipping of your piece to your home.  (International shipping is an additional cost). 

Time required: 1-2 hours.

Number of people: 1-4

Ages: 5 and up (small children will need the assistance of a guardian)

 

                                                                       3. Wheel Throwing.

$100 per person.  Wheel throwing includes the basics of learning to throw on the potter’s wheel.   Typically for a beginner, one will make 2-3 pieces.  Price includes instructions, materials, the glazing and firing of your work, and shipping of your pieces to your home.  (International shipping is an additional cost).  Homework prior to lessons: watch some of the short videos found on my pinterest board called “pottery class.”  http://pinterest.com/licialucaspfadt/pottery-class/

Time required: 2-3 hours

Number of People: 1-2

Ages: 12 and up (must be at least 5 feet tall)
